Sam + Connor // Cranbrook History Centre // Kootenay Wedding Photographers
You may remember this photogenic couple from their amazing engagement shoot last August at Bull River Falls. We had been looking forward to this wedding ever since the engagement shoot and the day definitely lived up to the anticipation. Sam and the bridesmaids got ready at the Prestige Hotel in Cranbrook and Connor and the groomsman got ready at the best man's in Cranbrook. Once everyone was all done up they made their way to a beautiful family property on the outskirts of Cranbrook just up the road from Sam's childhood home. The property was a breathtaking backdrop for a lovely outdoor ceremony followed by family and bridal party photos. The meandering creek rippling behind the couple as they exchanged their heartfelt vows made for the most beautiful setting.
Having everything at the one location definitely saves some time for the busy couple on the day of and this property had lots of different looks so we were able to get a lot of variety for the bridal portraits, which is always great. This bridal party was definitely up for anything fun and the property had a great field, so naturally we suggested the "groomsmen beer sprint", and we both agreed it was most epic rave have ever photographed. The race was down to wire and in the end only resulted in a couple mysterious grass stains....all worth the price of victory when you get bragging rights and a lukewarm beer for your efforts. We ended off our time at the family property roaming from spot to spot with just Sam and Connor to get some awesome shots of the newlyweds. After the bridal portraits were all wrapped up everyone gathered at the Royal Alexandra Hall at the Cranbrook History Centre. The elegant and timeless hall was the perfect place to celebrate and finish off the night with great food, friends, speeches and a bumping dance floor.
Congratulations Sam and Connor, thank you for including us on your big day!
