Christine + Mark // Ya Ha Tinda Mountain Wedding // Calgary Wedding Photographers
Jared and I had never been to Ya Ha Tinda before but when Christine and Mark suggested it we were definitely on board, in fact exploring new places in one of my favourite parts of being a photographer. The area truly is full of mountain Magic. Whether it’s the herds of curious yet wild horses, the raw and remote mountain landscapes or the towering and crashing sounds of a waterfall, everywhere you look has you in awe and grateful to be taking it all in.
Mountain Aire Resort was home for a few days for these fun loving families and some of their closest friends. It was also the perfect location for a breathtaking mountain wedding along the banks of the Red Deer River. The beautiful decor and details accompanied the raw beauty of the area perfectly. Prior to the Ceremony we were able to capture their first look along the river and then head into the Ya Ha Tinda and find a perfect location for the Christine and Mark to enjoy some Champagne, a picnic and the exchange of their private vows on the banks above the impressive Bighorn Falls. what an epic setting!
After capturing some beautiful moments with the couple we returned where Christine road with her new father in law to her dad who was waiting to take her down the aisle. The wild horses of the area even showed up during the ceremony and didn’t mind helping themselves to a little snack from the hay bale decorations. The lovely outdoor first and parent dances followed the ceremony before everyone enjoyed some terrific food, drinks and speeches. The impressive scenery and beauty of the Ya Ha Tinda area was the perfect backdrop for this amazing couple and we felt privileged to be able to join you as we captured your big day!
Thanks again, K + J
